Qantas has been innovating for 95 years. Back in the 1920s, the national carrier’s founders saw that aviation could be the ultimate disruptive technology for Australia. Since then Qantas has helped push forward the boundaries of the industry with advances in service (like the invention of Business class), safety (like the invention of the inflatable slide) and new ways of doing business (like the launch of low cost carrier Jetstar and the industry-changing partnership with Emirates).
Today Qantas is using knowledge, technology and analytics to make smarter decisions, empower employees and open up new ventures in sectors from financial services to health insurance. The ability to anticipate change and think differently is as important to Qantas’ success as it’s ever been, and a huge focus for the airline as it moves towards a century of continuous operations.
Qantas is the presenting partner of the Semi Permanent Sydney 2016 Future State program.
